Yoga is an extension or compliment to Dr. Desmond clinic treatments in which he specializes on the health of the spine, joints and internal organs, he teaches Yoga exercises which focus on increasing and maintaining flexibility of the spine, and toning and rejuvenating the nervous system.
The gentle stretching, twisting and bending movements of yoga bring flexibility to the other joints and muscles of the body, as well as massaging the glands and organs. Circulation is also improved, ensuring a rich supply of nutrients and oxygen to all the cells of the body.
Diet – The Yogi discipline sees food as both fuel for energy and as raw material to repair itself.
Dr. Desmond’s emphasis on maintaining a balanced, disciplined nurturing of all aspects of his patients health includes diet. Most importantly, whenever possible, to avoid the consumption of processed and fast foods, overcooked and packaged foods, snacks and substances that are overstimulating.
This practical program will allow you to:
- Learn or review the yogic system of asanas (steady pose exercises) designed to promote a state of mental and physical well-being or good health
- Learn proper relaxation. When the body and mind are continually overworked and stressed, their natural efficiency diminishes. Yogic methods retrain the mind and muscles to relax completely
- Learn what daily dietary foods you require for your healing
Format: This program is tailored to an individual client’s specific needs or the requirements of a couple or small group. Often this program is complimented with qi gong exercises. Dr. Desmond has practiced Tantric Yoga since 1979 . (Shao Lin Master Peng Jiu Ling/Ananda Marga)
